Skagen is the land of light!

The very special light over Skagen has inspired innumerable artists, and many of their works can be seen at the city’s museums and galleries.

But Skagen is a lot more than this: long wide sandy beaches, an unspoiled natural environment with extensive protected areas, pulsating city life with cafés and restaurants, shopping in small intimate shops or big shopping centres, nationally known producers of foodstuffs and beers, and a cheerful and inspiring city and harbour environment buzzing with life.

Everything is bound together by the special building style with its yellow houses, red roofs, green windows and white roof edging, and not least the many, many hours of sunlight.

Skagen, the northernmost city, where the two seas meet are always worth a visit – whatever the season. Experience it all at close quarters; hire a bicycle at Poul Eeg Camping and take in the summery landscape. The campsite has a great location! There is only 800meters to the beach and 1,5km to the city center.
